Church Groups

Forest Edge is a place where it’s easy to relax and rest.  Perfect for small group camps, Leader’s retreats, or church family camps - Let us give your faith community a chance to connect with God’s wonderful creation.

The natural beauty of the surrounds is comlemented by the comfortable accommodation and fantastic new facilities (including the larg upstairs function room opened January 2008).  Enjoy a cuppa in the new Dining Room, looking out over the campsite and the surrounding forest.  Or enjoy your cuppa out on the deck, looking out over the Latrobe Lodges courtyard.

When it’s time for your meetings, the variety of venues available allow the flexibility for whole-group meetings, or for you to split into smaller groups in separate rooms.  Then come together in the Dining Room for a home-cooked country-style meal.

Some common things church group organisers ask...

  • Accommodation can be provided in either the ensuited Latrobe Lodges or the separate McKerlie Cabins.
  • Minimum group numbers for the Cabins is 25, for the Lodges is 40, and for a whole-site booking is 100.
  • Time in of a Friday night is usually about 6pm (This gives us time to clean after the school group leaves) and time out on a Sunday is 2pm.  Although many people from the group may not arrive until after 6pm, it is important that the group organiser is able to arrive at this time (or make alternate arrangements in advance) to be shown the site, and to be available when the rest of the group arrives.
  • The meeting/conference rooms are equipped with video/data projectors, overhead projectors, whiteboards and a simple PA System for keynote speakers (not for live music)
  • Self-serve tea and coffee facilities are available in the Dining Room
  • If there are any special requirements your group might have, such as a special meal for a theme dinner, feel free to ask and we’ll let you know if it’s possible.  The key is advance notice - because we want your camp to be a success as much as you do!
