LEADERS in training {LIT} PROGRAM
Our Leader in Training (LIT) programs are awesome experiences for young people aged 15-18 who are interested in growing and developing in Christian Leadership,
LIT is a life-changing leadership development experience where participants will engage in a range of activities and sessions engaging them in personal formation, spiritual formation, and practical leadership skills and training. The programming is targetted at emerging young leaders to foster their ongoing development.
As part of the program, LITs will learn and engage alongside some of our Primary Camps across a number of campsites, culminating in them spending some time shadowing one of our experienced Primary Camp leaders through their camp experience.
Currently, we run LIT either as an intensive program alongside our Summer Camps or in partnership with some of our amazing local church partners.

In line with our requirements for leadership, applicants for our CYC LIT Program need to be at least 15 years of age.
The maximum age for LIT is 18, and we also only take participants who are currently attending High School.
Absolutely!
Leaders are ALWAYS learning, and we are committed to growing you as a young leader in whatever way will serve you. It is common for a number of our LITs to have had a taste of leadership on camps before, and you may even find that brings an extra layer to your LIT experience!

We love growing leaders from all backgrounds and stories, and so if applying for LIT is your first taste of camps with CYC, then welcome, we’re excited to have you!

This form will ask you a bit about you, your faith and why you want to undertake the LIT Program. It will also ask you for two references, one of which needs to be someone in leadership in the local church that you attend.
This application will be assessed with all the other applicants for LIT and please be aware that places on LIT are strictly limited, and we regularly receive more applications than spaces.

Looking to grow your leadership and faith while having an amazing time? Join us for EQUIP Leadership Camp, a weekend packed with intentional teaching, fun electives, worship, games, and connection at CYC Phillip Island Adventure Resort!
Who’s invited?
All Christian leaders, no matter where you are in your leadership journey, whether at CYC, your church, workplace, or within your family. Families are welcome too, with activities for kids to enjoy alongside you.
The best part? It’s completely FREE!
Bring a friend, your team, or anyone you think would benefit from this incredible weekend. Participants aged 15+ can attend without a guardian.

All of our EQUIP events & camps are open to anyone aged 15+ who wants to grow in who they are, their faith and their leadership!
You don’t need to have led on, or even attended, a CYC camp before, just be keen to get involved in developing yourself.
Because we welcome leaders of all ages, kids under 15 are also welcome to attend, along with a parent/guardian.
As part of CYC’s commitment to develop leaders both within our ministry and across churches and other ministries, we’ve made the decision to make EQUIP camps and events absolutely free!
Our desire is to EQUIP the current and next generation of leaders for God’s kingdom to not only serve in our ministry, but also to serve in their churches, schools, workplaces and beyond!
The simplest answer is that we really encourage you to attend the whole weekend so that you can get the most out of the training, teaching and fun!
If you have work or church commitments over the weekend, it would be a great opportunity to let your manager/team leader know that you’re attending this camp to be more equipped for this role! That way they can support you to attend for the full weekend.
There is an option to attend part-time during registration if you absolutely cannot make it for the whole weekend.
Absolutely! Everyone who is keen to grow in their faith and leadership is welcome at EQUIP, the more the merrier!
